Good evening everyone. In the past couple of days I have been looking at the sale amount of SBA dollar coin in the Heritage auction site. One of the SBA dollar was a 1979 P narrow rim ms68. It sold for $5k.
I compared my SBA coin with the aformentioned coin in heritage and I am pretty confident that several of my SBA can grade close or better.
I will upload sample pics of what I have and would be appreciative if any of you can give me your expert opinion.
Can any of you tell me what key year should I keep and pay close attention to on the following coins:
Kennedy half dollars, SBA, Sacagewea and presidential dollars.
    Thank you

There aren't too many Sac or Pres dollars aside a couple varieties or very high grade that are worth much. With SBA, and most clad coinage of that era very high grades of ms67 And above or pr70 can command decent prices. SBA & Kennedy also have a couple of varieties that can command nice premiums.

Could you link that result? I was only able to find one 1979-P MS68 at Heritage - it's also the only one recorded at PCGS Auction Results - and it hammered at $1175 this January.

Considering there are no MS 69 SBA dollars I very much doubt they would grade better. Most people under estimate how hard it is to get a MS 68 in that series as well. Most dates 67 is the top pop

    2007 the Shapiro one.

Make an offer to owner Dave. It's only been a decade. Good chance the buyer still has it lol

It's their only one over 5k, several are between about 3-5k but that is the only one over 5 and am just assuming the OP typed the wrong mint mark by accident.

Well, the OP mentioned a Philadelphia coin, so I approached it from that standpoint. The $5k coin linked was not only pedigreed, it was a known error. And the highest price ever paid for a 1979 SBA aside one overstruck on a Jeff Nickel.
