I have just ran across them on ebay. ya, I know I am slow. What surprises me is the feedback rating. 98.5% and that they list the items in North Carolina. At first I thought it was somebody just using a name, but, according to the link its the real deal. Interesting none the less. Sure sheds some light on what they do with all the culls they can't peddle for the big bucks.
Those are not "culls". That is the 2007 ANA Charlotte National Money Show Auction. All of their signature auctions on on eBay. Their "culls" are sold on a separate website - hnai.com. Their feedback is 10515 @99.8%
I guess that is the Signature Auction. I didn't realize that they dealt with NCS type coins in the main auctions, nor did I think think they would put a 1957 Proof Jefferson in a mainline auction. My Mistake. the Feedback however was not a mistake. Seller: heritageauctiongalleries( 3599) Feedback: 98.5% Positive
The only 1957 Proof Jefferson I find will probably go for $4,000+ Yes, the siganture auctions include NGC as well as ANACS and ICG. Not excusing their feedback, but if you read it, they have a habit of ignoring or cancelling on-line bids. Cannot explain it any further than that.
It's because the bids do not meet the reserve and the seller buys the coin back himself. edit - for those who would like to bid on an item in a Heritage eBay auction - do yourself a favor, go directly to the Heritage web site (bypass ebay altogether) and bid on the very same coin there. You'll save yourself 5% on the total cost
I will say Heritage have gone out of their way to make right by me. I can't imagine how they got any bad feedback.
