If I place a bid at Heritage for, say, $1000, then with the BP (Buyer's Premium) of 20%, my total (if I would win) would be $1200.

Now that the main math lesson is over, lol...

To *beat* my bid of $1000, would the next bid have to be $1050? I.e., raise the bid by an automatic/SET amount of $50? If so, is the increment ALWAYS $50?

What if the bid is less than $1000? What if it is $100? What if it is $2000?, etc.

At the $1,000 bid, the next MINIMUM bid is $50. You can bid any amount over that, including $50.01.

I'm not 100% sure of the next structured minimum bid increase, but your example of the $2,000 bid, would require the next minimum bid to be $100 more.

I have a habit of bidding 1 structured BP increase ABOVE my combined contemplated bid (my Bid +BP for my bid).
