Both of these nickels I cherry picked off e bay several years ago. The 1942 P Silver Proof -66 is an WDDR-003 it's an Class II + VI , Distorted and distended hub doubling. The coin shows a nice extra thickness on E Pluribus Unum ,USA and Five Cents. Die markers Obv. Large die gouge (dot) below hair on back collar. Over all rarity is Very Rare! This is one of my favorite Jefferson proof nickels. NGC gave it a grade of PF-66. Now again my full image is not very good however the PUP's are right on the money.
I have a few of those Proof WDDR with the die gouge. Started looking exclusively for it when I was cherrypicking eBay...and then I found a couple with the die gouge, but no doubling. End of that run ha ha...
This last coin I'm posting the 1945 D RPM -026 Doubled D rev. and the obv. has a die crack East-West in upper hair line to rim at K11. The doubled D is rather hard to see to an untrained eye. One of my reasons in posting these WWII era nickels is that for the YN they are still plenty out there in MS state ,and easy to pick up a variety.
