Here's an intersting little tidbit: Gallery MInt double struck 1804 Dollar

This was bought right before the Gallery Mint was sold along with several other unique items. Most are their dies truck over old US coins that you can see some of the design. i have another one somewhere that is triple struck.Each has a hand written description of what the host coin was, etc.

They look too 'clean' to be old coins.......

 

The Gallery Mint made some really cool copies. I have never seen one like the one posted. I wonder who has the dies today.

Heck, we're the dopes that sold them them an old US Mint coin press......

His press is awesome. When he bought it, it was a piece of stuff. He did a really cool job of restoring it. It's was fun watching all the steps it took to get it up and running.
