    Hi,

I'm gonna go out on a limb. It looks like the plating shifted in the same way that it did around the 7. I don't think it is an RPM.

    Thanks,
    Bill

Here are the die markers. There are NW-SE scratches on the Reverse, Three die gouges on the lower shoulder( kinda hard to pick out on mine, but look for the top-left one), and it has you can see the ring formed at the bottom of the obv. below the bust. Look at coppercoins.com for help.

Which one do you say it is. I guess I flunked the test because I don't see it. I'm going with foundinrolls here, notice the 8 and the 7.

If you are thinking it is RPM-014, I disagree as the "D" doesn't show the upper portions of any underlying "D". I agree with Bill, but maybe this isn't the one you are thinking of. I also don't see the shoulder gouges as shown in CC.

Doesn't matter what markers match if the variety isn't there.

Yeah, I still agree with me:) I don't see anything. If you can point out a specific one, more experienced eyes would be happy to look at what you think it is on CC's website.

    Ok,

Your right about it possibly being 014, so here are more pics...
The gouges are the only ting that don't show, but I thinkthat is because of wear. This pic shows the same portions of the other "D" as mine does. I will post more in a min. Got to find it.

After, looking at mine, it does not show the top portion. Now, it could be because of buildup in that area from the die impression, or it's not there. Maybe I will start with something a little more noticeable next time if you guys are willing to play along. How about it? But, it does have alot of the other die markers that got me going in the first place. Oh, well. I have been on a run lately with these mid-eighties RPMs. Just trying to fill the gaps.

The MM is plating split doubling and it's a clear indication because it's on the 8 and 7 to it's not an RPM like Bill said.
