How could you forget about that beautiful selection? Some of those coins are great! Glad you found them again.
My second daughter got me a nice little coin display holder, and we just randomly picked some coins to place in it! I put it away a few years back and forgot about it! The buffalo is looking good too!
So I took a closer look at these; the 1873 Nickel three cent piece is in really nice condition! I thought the details were mostly good but the hair was flat. Looking at the reverse it looks MS. Trying to remember where I found this one! Something about this design I really like.
Wow, there are some real stories in their experiences. If I ever put a Genie in a position where he had to grant me wishes, one wish would definitely be that I could make any coin I came into contact with talk. Imagine the stories!!!
It really is like an old friend! I've got to start organizing and cataloging all the different piles of coins I've stashed away over the years!
That's a nice group of coins. Two I don't recognize are the one on the bottom row far right and the fourth row down fourth from the left. Could you ID them for me? Thanks. Bruce
The bottom right is an Armenian silver tram, I think with King Levon, circa 1198-1224 or so. The other one is a Polish silver, I think from the 1600s. I'll have to look that one up since I don't remember exactly!
