Lehigh's proof Franklin made me think about this one. I LOVE the look of Ultra Cameo Franklins! It's a coin that you just don't see every day!

That is a very nice DCAM Franklin and don't beat yourself up over the photographs. IMO, proof coins separate the professional photographers from the amateurs. Eliminating shadows, hot spots, and glare while displaying full color is a very difficult task indeed. I broke out some of my old proof Franklins and only found one with any cameo contrast. This is the best I can do with the photos.




The cameo contrast on the reverse is aided by the violet toning in the fields.

 

Paul , is yours turning that nice gunmetal grey-blue around the edges ? That's what your second set of pics remind me of .
