So I started to collect notes from 1 - 20 of all years printed since 1963. I just to happen to discover that one of my $1 notes was printed from a "web-fed press"...

    1) What does this mean?
    2) I've looked for more over the last month or so and have never found another... how rare IS this?

I could answer but I'll let some other have first shot at it. After all, you did say the question was for ALL of us. :)

Isn't that where the bill was printed from a roll instead of a sheet? If I remember correctly, that process was played with for a year or so. I'm not sure though.

I recall when they hit circulation I was gettinbg them all the time, then they disappeared. I did manage to keep one in CU condition. Glad I did. They different plate number arrangement jumped out at me - I guess I pay closer attention to notes than I thought I did.
