So I started to collect notes from 1 - 20 of all years printed since 1963. I just to happen to discover that one of my $1 notes was printed from a "web-fed press"... 1) What does this mean? 2) I've looked for more over the last month or so and have never found another... how rare IS this?
I could answer but I'll let some other have first shot at it. After all, you did say the question was for ALL of us.
Isn't that where the bill was printed from a roll instead of a sheet? If I remember correctly, that process was played with for a year or so. I'm not sure though.
I recall when they hit circulation I was gettinbg them all the time, then they disappeared. I did manage to keep one in CU condition. Glad I did. They different plate number arrangement jumped out at me - I guess I pay closer attention to notes than I thought I did.
