    bryantallard show me the money....so i can look through it

    I can barely make out a circular loop when tilted sideways. Either the top of an 8 or 9.

    Nice find..
    I will say it's an 8
    The 1st picture I can see a bulge below where the top loop would be.

    It looks like an "8" to me. If you look at other Kennedy halves, the loop of the "9" is rounded, and the loop of the "8" is oval.

    The reverse of the 83 would be the RDV-004, and the reverse of the 93 would be the RDV-008. That should tell you if the half dollar is 83 or 93.

    @atrox001
    Is there a reference showing the RDV's?
    Website?

    Variety Vista shows for the half dollars the RDV-004 goes from 71-84, and the RDV-008 goes from 91-99. No photos, but just look at the reverse on one of those dates. I can tell you the designer's initials on the reverse are very different.

    looking at the hair on the obv I just noticed is a good comparison too. it is way more defined on the ones from the 90s. it's officially an 83. even better. ty larry
