I would appreciate some comments on this 1964 Jefferson. Looks clean, few scratches. What say you ? View attachment 904268 View attachment 904268
goodness, I'll be the first to reply. Some how I put two pics of obverse in there. I even previewed it too.
Welcome to CoinTalk @Martha Lynn To fix photo duplication issue click on "edit" then "more options" then you see beneath the text the photographs you have included in your post. Simply delete one of the duplicate photographs and that should do it. If both of them happen to be removed when you check 'preview' then upload that photo again and click on 'large view' and then repost.
@Martha Lynn If you like Jeffs, you might want to take a look at Paul's aka @Lehigh96 , award-winning Registry Set at the link below. https://coins.www.collectors-societ...wards/WinningSetDetail.aspx?AwardSetID=120293 You might want to save it to your favorites so you can compare a few to your coins from time-to-time. To have value over face, the coin needs to be a higher grade (full steps), yours is clean, but circulated. No significant premium over face.
It is a nice example. And to find one that nice in pocket change is uncommon, but not exceedingly rare. You can still buy uncirculated rolls of '64 nickels for around $5-$6, so not expensive either. I would say it may be worth more than a nickel if you had to buy one, but not much more.
That is without a doubt a very nice collection, but it doesn't have a full step example either. '64 full steps are rarer than you think.
