$1.00 Foreign Trade Payment Certificate P-Unlisted

FTPC were used by businessmen in Japan during the US occupation after WWII. They are extremely scarce with less than 100 known in collections inclusive of all denominations. They also come in $.05, $.10, $.25, $.50 and $5.00 denominations. You can read about them in Schwan/Boling's World War II Remembered.

Someone carefully removed the staple holding the chit book together! The perforations are still intact!!

    Fantastic!!

That is not my listing, it is David Seelye, an MPC dealer from upstate NY. FTPC were printed in booklets of $10.00 and $50.00. All notes in the same book have the same serial number. His notes and my notes came from the same book.
