I also treated myself to this note. Again, it’s from the Confederate States. A little nicer than the one I posted a few days ago, the Radar Note. This one is an very fine condition. There are no pin holes and less folds but hey, it’s 158 years old. It’s trimmed tight at the top left but otherwise the trimming is good. They were all trimmed by hand. I have this note but the serial number is the reason I bought it. Also released on February 17th, 1864 but with the serial number 55555 stamped in black ink. A very nice addition to my growing collection. The bill has good coloring and strong signatures.
Thanks guys. It’s really a neat number, not just all the same but five 5’s like Michael says. That’s why I bought it.
That’s just amazing. People are amazing. It all started with someone stashing that away because it was cool.
For some reason my hand shook and the photo turned out blurry. Sorry about that. It’s supposed to be NO for number and the serial number, which is all fives.
The serial number was not printed. They were stamped. Usually they were hand written but there are a few issues that were stamped. I do have some error notes from the CSA. But in this case, it’s all normal.
