Here’s my 1914 half dollar!

Hello cointalk! This is my 1914 half dollar. It’s not in the best of condition, but it’s still one of my favorite coins.

For a semi-key coin, not half bad!

 

Just the way I like 'em. Looks like it had to work for a living.

@Matthew G. Always one of my favorites. I have all but 5 of them. For most of them I found in circulation or I traded for when I was a youngster. And, some I had to buy at Local Coin Club, shops and on-line.

 

@Matthew G. Remember to crimp the staples. If they come in contact with another 2x2, they can easily tear the Mylar film and scratch a coin.

I love how the non-clad coinage retain their beauty even when worn. Nice pick up!

@Matthew G., your thread is wholesome and gave me a warm feeling inside that I can only imagine is similar to what a mother's love feels like.

Meanwhile clad coinage doesn't even look good uncirculated.
