I was looking through my English medieval hammered coins and noticed two glaring omissions.I didn't have coins of either Henry IV or V.I began looking around at various sites and had a lot of trouble finding ANY coins of these two for sale.Every dealer had tons of Henry VI coins in all denominations but my two guys didn't seem to be in anybody's inventory. Finally I located this one,a half penny minted in London 1413-22.It's a bit worn down but the toning is a beautiful purple..or at least I hope so.I'll put up pics when it arrives. :smile
Mikjo0,King Henry V's coins are very difficult to find.In fact,it is one of the most difficult reigns to have represented.King Henry V's coins are often confused with King Henry IV's coins, given the fact that they were both father & son. The earliest reign I have got represented is King Henry VI's 1st reign (1422-61) - a Calais Mint Groat. Aidan.
