Henry 3rd VLC penny query

  1. For some strange reason the detail on the obverse of this penny I dug up appears fuzzy but the reverse image appears clear. Someone suggested that it may have been double struck but how could that result in only 1 side being affected? DSC01976.JPG DSC01979.JPG

Because one side stuck in the die. What it means is it was hit by the hammer and the top looked weak and it was stuck in the die and was struck twice but the top die moved slightly so the imperfection was only recorded on one face.
