I have a 1854 copper Napolean III coin. Under the eagle it looks like B on top of another B. Can you help with this? Is it worth anything?
Howdy gkdjc - Welcome to the Forum !! The B over a B is one of the standard mint marks for French coins - it is nothing unusual. But we need more information to identify the coin and estimate a value. Having a picture to examine is the best way. Post a pic.
Welcome to the Forum gkdjc And don't forget to mention the size as that frequently helps zero in on the correct ID.
1854 coin I couldn't get the picture to download! There's one on this web site http://home.eckerd.edu/~oberhot/frev.htm Sorry.
I'm not sure what you are calling page six as I only see 1 page Just tell us what the name of the coin is that matches yours. For example is it a 2 sols, a 1 sol or a 5 centimes ? Or are you saying that this is the coin you are asking about ? Click Here If that is your coin, and your coin is in similar condition as the one in the picture - it would be worth a couple dollars at the most and probably less.
