I was going over my pictures and I noticed the fg on this Lincoln cent was very odd. It looks like it was minted sideways, which that can't happen or could it? I don't know what year it is I can't find the coin. My question is, is this any significance to a Lincoln cent? It looks copper but then you can't be sure without the date. I have two containers, one copper and one zinc that I throw my coins in if they're not collectible. I took a handful of the copper coins out and looked at the Fg. To no avail I didn't find it. Instead of me banging my head against the wall please tell me this is no significance so I can stop searching its driving me crazy
It's FG not Fg nor fg. Most likely a worn die issue Make sure your wall is padded before you do that.
I agree with Ed. From the photo it looks like a partially filled device or die abrasion. You probably can rest easy and avoid damaging any walls. Good luck on the hunt!
