Hi all I am fairly new and already have to thank everyone for their kindness and knowledge. I truly feel I have been welcomed with open arms. To the subject at hand. I am pretty spot on with imperials but providentials is literally Greek to me.Your neighborhood cat needs some help please iding this local coinage from Alexandria. My guess is severus Alexander with sarapis on Rev but thats a total guess. 22mm, 10.2g Sorry for the terrible photos, any help greatly appreciated and thank you everyone in advance.
Looks more like Sarapis to me on the reverse - https://rpc.ashmus.ox.ac.uk/coins/6/10234 is an example from a different regnal year? (maybe https://rpc.ashmus.ox.ac.uk/coins/6/10255? –– I can't read the character on the reverse on the right)
Thanks everyone so much, its been staring at me from my desk for the past 6 months reminding me of my failure to id. Almost mocking me. Lol thank you again.
