Today I obtained a new 2009 Lincoln Log Cabin penny. Now I'm new to all this coin stuff but think I have found something. On the heads side of the penny are the letters VDB, as with all. But on this one, the 'B' is cut off on the bottom. I simply wish to know if this is common or rare, and if rare, what to do with it.
I'll think of a way to do so, but as of now I have no camera other than on my cell phone. And my magnifying glass is only around the area of 2x zoom. But I'll figure something out.
I truly haven't seen enough to judge if it is common or rare. I just received my first from a fellow CT. Will have to wait a while and see what everyone else gets to see if this is common.
having a photo doesn't really matter, and it's not a grease filled die. This is either a case of a slightly weak hubbing or an over polished die where the bottom of the letter was removed by polishing. Neither would have any premium value.
