It is real and from the photos you have shown I think it might grade higher than what is on the 2x2. Luster is very important in the gem grades and I can't really evaluate the luster from your photos, but the surfaces and strike easily qualify for gem grade quality. If the luster is good, I would value you the coin in the $20-$25 range. Unfortunately, the 50-D was hoarded due to its low mintage and is very common, even in the premium gem grades.
I agree with the MS-64 grade. The strike is a bit too weak and there are a few too many contact marks for a higher grade. And it looks genuine.
I agree with with the grade but disagree with the value. I would be surprised if it sold for more than $12, since it doesn't have full steps or any color.
