    Hey there,

I don't have much of a knowledge in coins, however I happened to find this particular coin while visiting my relatives house in Petty Harbor Newfoundland Canada. While I would have never found this coin otherwise, I lucked across it while picking up random glass shards in the rebuilding of a old house they bought. Pictures are provided, however I seemed to have tracked down some similar pictures at at this location (bottom of the page), any additional information or input would be highly appreciated. -B

I think, it's an old Mexican coin. Probably - 1 real.

Looks like a 1689 Spanish Empire 1-real cob (could be Mexican, could be from another Spanish Empire mint)

For 1689 your mint choices are Lima or Potosi. Looks like Lima to me.
