Here's some tokens and coinage I'm stumped on. Medal, Silver, Nothing on the reverse side: This one may be from India: Roman I think:
#3 is fourth century Roman, reverse may be emperor dragging captives from hut, no legends so hard to tell emperor.
St. Martin de Porres (1569-1639), the "broom saint", was a mulatto Peruvian Dominican monk. As a mulatto, he was initially treated badly and assigned only the simplest tasks, and only allowed to join the order 9 years after entering the monastery. He devoted himself to caring for the sick, and, with his sister's help, founded an orphanage and a number of other benevolent institutions in Lima. One of the city's quarters is named after him. He is supposed to have lived very ascetically, and was revered as a saint by the people of Lima during his lifetime. He was beatified in 1837, and canonized by John XXIII in 1962, so the medal you have must date from 1962 or later and is most likely from Lima.
