I just purchased a lot of silver blue Ike dollars. Looking through them for errors or varietys. I have Conneca's page for reference ddo/ddr but I notice some pages mention shadow Ike's. Does the silver blue Ike have shadow Ike's? Or is that only for the clad version? Thanks in advance for any info.
This will be a good resource for you - The Ike Group. (Don't expect anyone on the forum to respond to you, though.)
This is the resource I used to find out about shadow Ike's. But after reading I am unsure if it pertains just to 1972 clad or both clad and silver?
"Once the authors saw the shadow on Herb’s Type B 1972(P), we soon noticed the shadow was present on another Ike, the only Business Strike Silver Ike with the Type B reverse, the 1972-S SB, but only on about a third of them."
So all of mine have the shadow earth on the reverse so they would all be classified as shadow Ike's correct? I will read the pages again too.
Here's some images of a shadow Ike ( 72-s ) http://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-S-Eise...809380?hash=item2a6ac34864:g:bHsAAOSw3YNXafCG
