Anyone use this PMV? I have the original version. I have bought a Isle of Man angle one ounce coin. I put it on the PMV under Britannia gold and it shows an arrow to the right. When I put it on 90% gold it shows OK. I am not sure why but it does the same thing if I put a Maple leaf on the other settings. I believe this one is fine. But I wonder if anyone has any thing like this on their PMV?

I'm not privy to the internal stuff for Sigmas, but I'd think that gold would be a little more sensitive to coin shape and design than .999 silver is.

I don't know how they'd come up with a single setting to verify "90% gold"; it seems like electrical and magnetic properties would depend a whole lot on what that other 10% is. But I could be completely wrong.

I called sigma and they said it needs to be set to 91% gold. He said that England did some copper add ins for its 1980s and some 90s bullion coins. This one was 1985
