Hello All, Although not new to E-Bay, First time it ever happened. Last night I bought a coin, Buy-it-now, Paid within 5 mins, added note that ad stated they would send OGP if I paid by -it -now. Almost 24 hrs and have heard not 1 word. So we I got home from work sent another stating that I understand its the holidays but let me know everythings OK, you can shipp after Christmas, still nothing. Any suggestions, looked up rating they have over 550 items sold, been a member since 2007, 100%. Maybe over reacting?

I think that you may be a little early. He or she may be traveling for the Christmas season. I usually don't do anything unless I haven't heard anything for a week.

Give it some time, I'm sure the seller is just busy with the holidays.

As Phil said, it best to wait. "Buy it Now" purchases are not as predictable and can go unnoticed for a few days, especially during the holidays. Give it a few more days.

LoL. Very few sellers take action inside a 24 hour cycle. I have bought some stuff from name brand sellers and 3 or 4 days go by before I get a 'your item has been shipped' notice. Even then sometimes a few more days go by before activity occurs on the tracking number (some don't use that system). Yes. There are some sellers I have had delivery of the item within 72 hours. But never on a holiday week, and there have been some sellers where 4 days went by before the sale was acknowledged and another 10 days before a delivery happened. When you grade the sale after you get the item there is a question for this situation, how fast did the seller ship the item. If under 20 days I give them quickly. If delivery happened inside a week, I give them very quickly. That's rare.

I'm finding the opposite with ebay. I usually get stuff within a week of winning on ebay. About a month ago, I won a 1932-D quarter for $90. It was quite a good win considering it was an easy F12. It didn't ship in 7 days and I was getting ready to send an e-mail to the seller (squeeky wheel gets the grease). It was really weird but I got an e-mail from him just prior to sending my e-mail. He had gone on vacation and left an employee of his shop to send out the coin. Unfortunately, his employee let him down. He apologized and sent me a $25 refund onto my Paypal account. I got the coin a few days later and gave him a very nice feedback. With over 500 transactios on ebay, I've only had one bad experience and it was with a coin worth only a buck. I would have sent negative feedback, but they were no longer on the bay.

I got a few emails like that around T day too. I didn't get refunds, but the stuff showed up and I have nothing negative to say about someone visiting their relatives on a Holiday weekend.

A few days ago I made an offer on a bin or best offer. Never got a reply. 2 days later I see a message in my eBay that I need to pay for item? They accepted my offer and never sent me a reply. Things happen.

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

A seller cannot be expected to be watching their listings 24/7.
    Patience, grasshopper, patience.

Yeah, I would def just relax. If he is an ebay regular you have nothing to worry about.

I am often surprised how quickly my purchases arrive in the mail. I won my very first purchase on a Friday night Ebay auction and it was in my box the following Monday, shipped via regular mail from California all the way to Alabama. However, I agree with the others that the seller is probably busy with the holiday.

Many different types of coin sellers on eBay as you would expect. I purchased 200+ coins on eBay in 2013 and had a wide variety of experiences. 99.9% of them very good, but all a little different. Some shipped faster than others, but ultimately, no real issues. Some communicated when others didn't, some posted "fake" tracking numbers to appease the eBay Gods, but nothing ever showed when I went to track it, yet the coin showed up within a reasonable amount of time.

I only had one terrible experience, but in the end, I wound up with a free common date MS66 Morgan.

    edited for spelling!
