Help with Mercury Dime

    I fould a 1936 Winged liberty dime while digging, The only problem is this one has a star on the neck. Does anyone know why?

    It's just a random counterstamp someone applied to the coin after it went into circulation raujaku. It may have had some significance to that person, but of course we don't know why it was done.
