I recently acquired this coin from my coin dealers junk box. It appears to be very similar to the Nepal Rupee KM#726, but I am unable to read the inscriptions, and I'm not sure this has silver in it. There is only a date of 2009 which if my research is correct, equates to 1951, and is located at the bottom of the obverse. Its about 29.7 mm in diameter and weighs 10.8 g. Its a white metal and may be some alloy of aluminum. I think its too heavy to be pure aluminum. KM#726 says that that coin is 0.3330 silver 0.1186 oz ASW. What is ASW? It looks like it might have been reeded, but the reeding is mostly worn off. It is rather worn, so a new coin might have weighed a bit more. I appreciate any help or information anyone can provide.
the KM#726 looks like its only 29mm exactly KM#723 looks like 29.7mm in my Krause catalog book not sure if that helps ???
the date looks like 2007(1950) not sure if I am reading the date right ? their what looks like 9 looks like the 1st mark under the 7 in the number chart.
not knowing is driving me crazy. in a good way. hopefully a CT member knows more about Nepal rupees can tell us more.

Wow, thanks a lot guys. At least I got in the right ball park, but you guys are just too good. Just like I thought, the weight was a little under due to wear. I only guessed at the mm size since my gauge only goes in full mm increments, and the coin measured a little past the mid point between 29 and 30, so I guessed 29.7. I've been using my tools that I acquired for my stones collection. I used to collect semi-precious stones, with diamonds being just too expensive for my pauper pocketbook. The weight is really accurate because I have a good electronic scale. Again, thanks guys.
