Hello, So Im planning on getting these 1864 1864L 1873 74 75 76 78 at the whitman coin show in a G-F condition. What would be the best price to pay for each because I saw some like the 75 for $30 and in a different store for $15 in the same condition. Thanks
Definitely shop around. Some of the dates you will pay more for are the 64L, 76 and 78. You should be able to find these at greysheet or very close to it. Many of these are considered the "semi-key" dates in the series, and some dealers will command a small premium for them, as it is a popular collecting set. These are common enough to find G-F problem free coins. If a dealer is trying to get greysheet on a problem coin...move on to the next one. With that said, you should be able to find most of them for under $30/coin for a decent example.
