hi, i have recently found this coin while metal detecting if anyone could could shed some light on it it would be very gratefully appreaited regards
weight and diameter please. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces162089.html There is a number of variants all issued 1279-1307. Hope this will help you narrow it down, As @scottishmoney stated it could be that of henry, but that period of 1279 through 1509 have a similar look and it will come down to weight, diameter and readable legends to positively id
I see a hint of the lettre H in medieval script on the upper right of the coin above the monarch. That and the appearance of the monarch on the coin suggest a later date ie Henry VI - Henry VII so late 15th century.
Looks a lot like a Henry VI penny - 1427-1434 - https://www.ebay.com/itm/393190885695?hash=item5b8c00c93f:g:VsoAAOSw-MpeVYw3
