Ok not actualy India but Maratha and the coin in question shows a "g" like symbol under the "crocodile" while the one in the only book available to me locally shows an almost exact duplication of the coin with just a dot in place of the "g" on mine. Marathas, Tanjavore, Venkoji, Gold Fanam, Ve on obv., degenerate crocodile rev. (Maheshwari & Wiggins T1, p.184). An Internet source I found lists it simply as being from "Tanajore, Marathas. Any additional information someone might have access to that I don't would be greatly appreaciated.
