I bought these coins today at the Spring coin show. I had a pretty good time browsing and conversing with all the people, I just wish there were more shows in my area. Anyways on the 1918D,,he asked $70,,,,I offered $55,,,we settled on $62. He had it graded at just VF. I'm gonna grade it at VF-30. I bought the 1920S from a different table and he had it graded at XF45 with a ask price of $50,,, I offered $40 and we settled on $45. Your opinions, grades, and comments would be appreciated.

Agreed. They look too "shiny" in the flips. I bought a couple of nice SLQs today that I shared with club members. They were graded by the dealer as AU58, but they look mintstate. Also I had one I bought from a dealer recently that he thought might "66", though he charged me "65" money. It actually graded 64 @ PCGS then 64FH at NGC. JH Kline liked it when I showed it to him at Baltimore, and he thought it should have been resubmitted for the 65 grade, it was that nice.
