Can someone help me with this grade,is it a proof like,or mirror proof like, maybe deep mirror proof like.both side reflect the same and readable at4-6 inch's.either coin standing straight up,and high above coin angled and still readable.i think a ms 62? [/ATTACH]
Nice coin! Its hard to tell by your pictures because they arent straight on and close enough, but i would go with MS62PL from the ones that you posted
I don't think it would make DMPL. PL is a toss-up. I see some hairlines but need better photos to determine if it has been improperly cleaned. Otherwise, MS63. Chris
i was gonna send it to NGC i tink i will needed the feedback first so i can get an idea on a grade range thank you for your reply
In your latest pics, i see some hairlines. I agree there is some PL to the coin, but not sure it would grade problem free.
Is sending it in worth it? For the hairlines, just get a loupe and see if you notice brushmarks or hairlines all going the same direction. I can't imagine it would be hard for a PL surface.
when i use a lope 10x or my 60x microscope lens i see smooth shininess and i see nicks and scratches but from possible coin sliding around in mint bags(mint hoarde).i'll take more from loop
I do know the vam-80 has alot of die scratches and die cracks check on details vam-80 and scroll to reverse of coin also
I don't see any shadowing around any of the die lettering,image.motto,date.?I do see alot of die scratches/brakes as the vam -80 but more than the 80,all markers match the Vam-80/possible new vam?
between the olive branch and arrow feather is the 6 die breaks/scratches for the vam80/notice there's many more die scratches/breaks look's like a map
