Hello Everyone. While looking at a 1998-D Memorial Cent I noticed "VDB" on the lower left side. I will try to post a picture of magnification, but I am not sure how it will look. Is this rare? Do I have a bum penny? Or am I possibly sitting on a jackpot! Any inquiries would be awesome. I will try working on the pic. Thanks Everyone! :thumb:
If you are talking below Lincoln's shoulder near the rim, that is normal. If you are talking somewhere else we would need to see pictures Richard
But why do I not see any other my other coins with the exception of the wheat pennies with this on it? Thanks for your reply
often, if the coin is weakly striuck, a worn die, or a polished die the V.D.B. is the first part of the image to disappear.
