Help with coin ID.

    Hello I am new to this forum and looking for a little help with this coin.
    It has been inletted into the side of an old "american" rifle so I can only see one side of the coin.
    Not sure why it's there.
    I thought maybe some of the members might be able to help with an ID.

    Looks like an Arabic 10.

    It's a Turkish 10 Para issued by Abdul Hamid II from 1899-1904.

    That is turning out to be an interesting coin. There is a date of 1293 below the denomination. But that is the accession date of the ruler - 1876. The regnal year is shown on the other side. The composition is listed as billon which means it contains a little silver.
