I posted this on the world coins forum and someone suggested I try posting here, so I’ll just copy and paste:

I bought this a while back attributes as a pfennig from Abbey of Selz. I can’t find a match online, there is one fairly similar piece on numista that I will link below. If someone can confirm or correct the attribution it would be much appreciated! I’m not sure that there are any English language reference books that would cover this coin, but if there are, please let me know.

    Thank you.

@Brendan Bohan, with apologies, I can only second your mystification. As a bracteate of this module --almost reminiscent of Freisachers-- it's clearly of the same period as the apparent prototype of Selz. But the mere fact that it is a bracteate, with variant motifs, suggests that this could as easily be an imitation from elsewhere as another issue of the abbey itself.
Lacking the operant MEC volume (...is there one? not sure), I can only suggest Dannenberg as a place you could wade into. Yep, auf Deutsch. My favorite link is the one from NumisWiki. https://www.forumancientcoins.com/numiswiki/view.asp?key=dannenberg. Good luck! It would be great to hear if you, or anyone else here found any leads.
