This may push the limits of coinage as many know it. This may be Greek or... Looks like three ears/stalks of grain. Maybe oats, barley, or wheat. Any Ideas would be appreciated.:desk: :headbang: :desk: :headbang:

    Thanks
    Ben

Strange you should mention Herod Agrippa and three stalks of grain in your two posts.Check this out. This was a fairly common theme on Judean prutahs so maybe that's what you have.
    Even Pilate himself used it.

Ben,there's a section on 'Coins that are mentioned in the Bible'.Perhaps that coin is an example of a Widow's Mite.

Beautiful Coin Mike :) I had no idea which way sas up when I posted a picture. BTW, I'm back at the hotel. I took the shuttle back and floated in the hot-tub for a bit to limber up the old joints. The girls are all still at the festival. http://renaissancefest.com/MRF/weekends.html I'm beat after closing the bar last evening with a couple of other fellows, LOL...

Yes, it's more for the Amatuer Medievalist. Last evening we dined heartily at Jakes with Wild Rice Soup and Cajun Prime Rib 24oz servings along with a couple of bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon and a Zinfandel for the gals (we met some friends) who also had Grilled Salmon with Tomato/Basil relish.

Later at the bar we finished off a liter and a half of Asbach Brandy and cigars :rolling: :( :rolling: Oh my head this AM...

Here is a shot from the room on the 7th floor.

    Bone,
Your umbrella is definitely upside down.Yours is a bit more "closed" than mine and the fringe is more prominent. Now you can safely label it.It was actually a symbol of royal power, something the servants carried around to shade the royal face from the nasty sun.
