Hi All, I was looking to bid or buy a trio of IHC's on this e-bay listing, but wanted to ask what you all thought about the 1904. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-3-Ind...item3a7edf8498 Does this look like it was cleaned? I ask because it looks more reddish than the other 2. All help is appreciated. John
1904 has a ding in the rim, but looks like a solid coin, might have been dipped. Maybe the photo had that coin closest to the light source. For less than a buck per coin, and being able to read "liberty" in the headband, they are worth bidding on.
only one that look like a light cleaning or been washed in a pocket is the 1900?? but still @ .99c with $1.79S/H 1 day to got? I would not buy much over 12.79 for all 3. my2c.
I'm no expert, but I think they may all be cleaned, some more lightly than others. The 1902 (I think, not 100% sure which reverse lines up with each obverse) has scratches below cent on the reverse which leads me to think it was cleaned more harshly. The 1900 looks to have verdigris growing around the date, and "gunk" in the lettering which leads me to think it may have been cleaned before. The 1904 looks the best to me, but has a little rim ding at about 6:30 on the obverse. That's just what I see. Also if I have made any mistakes in my analysis, if someone more knowledgable on cleaning could please correct them! Thanks, Will
