photo 2.JPG photo 1.JPG photo 2.JPG I was hoping to get some opinion to what this coin may be . It is way out of my realm of expertise & I have a customer who is interested in purchasing it. Any info would be appreciated.

    It is bronze ,weighs 3.8 grams, 18.25 x 21.5 mm .

    Thanks-J photo 1.JPG View attachment 313913

At first blush I would suspect Arab-Byzantine and the reverse is upside down.

More likely a very crude example of a follis of Constans II.

Yes, very well could be. It was so crude that is why I was thinking it was a Arab copy. Really hard to tell if its a very crude official issue, contemporary imitation, or arab imitation, (at least for me its difficult to differentiate them). At any rate, in that timeframe of the mid 7th century.

Most of the Arab copies are actually quite well done. The really crude ones are mostly from a "Pseudo-Damascus" mint, operating in Syria in the 650s-660s. I don't think the style on this is quite consistent with those examples.
