I've banged around my Krause books for days trying to ID this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much. Tom img984.jpg img985.jpg

Yup, upside down and Sanskrit. My daughter's mother-in-law just wrote out our new grandson's temple name for us and my wife asked about the bar over the letters.

I am not seeing any coins in my Krause's world coin catalogs 17th century,18th century ,19th century , to date that look like your coin. I am wondering if it is a token ? Cool looking what ever it is.

I just checked Nepal and nothing from 1800-2000 catalogs. There's way too much for me to absorb under India. I like it also and it's off centered.

Thanks very much for the extra info. I had not gotten back into the catalog yet. This was part of a bulk purchase 2 years ago from my friend Doug at Newfound Coin & Jewelry in New Hampshire. It was part of a nice lot of unidentified India. I should have suspected but I separated those I could identify and misplaced those I could not and ended up here totally confused. ( Until you all helped me out )
