It appears to be a Federal Shooting Thaler (1844) produced by Jean Francois Antoine Bovy, 1795-1877. He usually signed his works "A.B." or "A. Bovy". The enlargement of the obverse is too blurry for me to read the letters following his name. Bovy is the name of a celebrated family of Swiss medalists and coin engravers, all of whom worked for the Geneva Mint.
