That is a Portuguese 5 cent coin, and it looks like a circulated one. Thus the value is probably 5 cent, or about 6.5 US cents. Cannot recognize the year in your image, but if you have the coin, just look at the bottom of the country-specific side. The four digits of the year are separated by the five shields. If it's a 2005 piece (see my reply #2 regarding the location of the date), then the mintage is "only" 30 million. But still, even in unc such a piece would be worth less than half a euro. The design is interesting though - all Portuguese euro and cent circulation coins show seals/documents from the times of Afonso Henriques, from the 12th century. Christian
