hey everyone! okay so i have a friend whos birthday is coming up and he collects coins as well as WW2 stuff. I found this coin on ebay and figured it would serve kinda as a piece for both of his collections. Anyway i dont know very much about coins that arn't US coins so here would be my questions.

    Is the toning look natural?
Does it look like a fake?
If i dont get this exact one what should i look for as far as fakes?

I know the coin isnt expensive right now but i am just wondering because i might get a few more of these in different years and such for him. Thanks guys!

The present bid (99¢ + $1 S/H) is only twice as much as the coin (KM#97) is worth in that condition.

Third Reich copper is common, plentiful, and most often found in the 3 for $1 type "pick a coin" bowls on most dealers' counters.

It is pretty toning though, and I would say its natural. If buying it on Ebay saves you a 10 mile trip to the local coin store its worth it, right?

Small little purchases like this I find its just easier to buy on Ebay. It won't ever be worth anything numismatically, so its just an incidental purchase. I would buy it if I liked it. Hontanai is right though, if you buy common looking ones try to get a little better price.
