help with 2010 Lincoln Penny. Lincoln's got a headache.

    Im sure you guys are getting tired of all the questions but I do have another? Is this a die crack? It does not look like a scratch. Thanks for any and all replies.

    I cannot tell for sure from the photos (blurry) but it does appear to be a die crack. A die crack will be raised on the coin (because metal flows into the crack when the coin is struck) and a scratch will be indented into the coin.

    yes I remember you telling me that the other day and I do believe it is raised(sorry about the bad pic.) It is hard to tell from the pic. but I do notice that the crack appears to stop where it meets the W and starts again on the other side to the rim.

    Yes that is definitely a die break I have several like that you can always tell a die crack will be lifted above the surface of the coin a scratch digs into the coin nice find
