both 4th century roman coins, the first is constans from the sisicia mint, obverse pic is upside down..two victories with palm leaf between...the SIS below is the siscia mint mark. 2nd is a Constantinople city commemorative, roma obverse and victory with shield on prow reverse, thessalonica mint (mint mark is SMTS ?).
First looks like Constantine 2, Concordia Avgg reverse. 2nd looks like a Constantinopolis commemorative, victory reverse.
the first is a ae3 of constantius ii 337-361, 2 victories facing each other. The second one is a ae3 of Constantine, 306-337 a Constantinople city commemorative.
Sadly, there is a lot of bad information above. Constans is correct not either of his brothers named by others. Siscia and Thessalonica are correct as are two victories and victory. There is no Concordia here.
You might enjoy looking at coin types #3 and #5 on my page: http://www.forumancientcoins.com/dougsmith/uncleaned.html The other matter is that these coins have been raped by horridly harsh cleaning. There appears to be remaining corrosion that may be active (hard to tell in the photo) but it makes no difference because the postage on the chemicals needed to neutralize them would be more than the coins are worth in this condition. Do not buy coins with soft, powdery green corrosion that flakes off easily. If yours are hard and stable, there is nothing that will really improve the coins but they will not get worse. We have to ask if you bought these coins from a seller in this condition or if these were uncleaned and treated harshly by you?
