    hey guys,

as we all know, the U.S. mint released 7 types of lincoln cents in 1982. I understand how to tell the difference between a large and small date by now, but I really dont know how to tell the difference between the alloys. Can anyone help me out?

Got a gram scale? Weight is the only sure way that I know of to determine the difference. The red book should have appropriate weights listed.
It's usually easier to buy the 7-pc set for a few bucks lol.

The Copper should weigh 3.11 grams and the Zinc should weigh 2.5 grams. If you have an ounce scale, divide the ounces by .0353 (from memory, hope that is right!).
