I found this while going through a bank roll of quarters. This obverse is so weak that you can not see the mint mark. The reverse is just as weak. Please help.
Not for sure as the pic's were very small. Blew the obverse pic up 500% and still not clear enough to make a good ID. Could be a struck through grease type error, Bad strike on worn dies or something post mint. Could you send some better quality/ larger pic's? Chuck
I agree I agree with Chuck, Could be any of the things he mentioned... Do you have a way to get some pictures a little clearer and larger?? From First glance the obverse looks like post mint damage ie.. it was the top coin of a roll and received a scrape all the way around as the roll was crimped, after a little circulation the machine marks could have faded and it is as it is now.. appears to be lacking detail around the edge... The next best guess would be struck through debris or grease, also very common.... I can't tell much about the reverse...anyway... Interesting find!! Thanks for sharing!
