I know it's from China, because that's the site I pulled it from. I can't ID the coin from the site though. Any ideas on what it is? It looks like the green goblin from the first Spiderman movie to me. I like it and would like to find one, but it's hard considering I can't find anything about it. Thanks.
I don't know what it is, but after looking at the coin for a moment I feel that it must be an architectural detail--something from a lintel, pediment, post, or gate. I quickly skimmed through the first page of listings you linked to and didn't see anything like it, though.
Same here. It's very interesting to look at, but I can't see where they are paying tribute to the green goblin. You are probably right about the architecture.
I think it looks like a native artifact and with a quick search found it 2002 Sichuan Sanxingdui Relics Gold & Silver Commemorative Coins http://www.chinagoldcoin.net/english/NewIssues/sxd-index.htm
I went to that page but apparently just glanced at the coins at the bottom before they flipped over. That sucks. Thanks guys.
