These must have belonged to my grandfather. 1st one says BANGOR, MICH. with CHAPTER No 105,R.A.M. Date on it is Jan 19 1881. I have no idea what the lettering on the other side stands for. 2nd one says MT. PLEASANT MICH. with CHAPTER No 111 R.A.M. Date on it is JANUARY 16, 1884. Again... I have no idea ref. the lettering on the other side. Don't know if they are worth anything, but they are nice. Thank you for any input. Bill
HTWSSTKS is an acronym with connections to the Masonic Temple, specifically Royal Arch Masons. The letters stand for, “Hiram, Tyrian, Widow's Son, Sent to King Solomon.”
Not really sure on value, but here is some info. http://tokencatalog.com/display_rec...ecords&td_state=Michigan&td_city=Mt.+Pleasant. Your Mt. Pleasant piece looks to be personalized with initials, HP. There is a book on these. It is quite expensive for one or two pieces. I got this one because it is semi-local. I paid $3 for it.
Thank you for the info ref the HP initials. I never thought about them being a someone's initials. Gonna have to check which family member in Michigan had those in his name.
