    can you tell me besides the 18/986 which is odviously a on purpose token edit are there any other mottos on it.. a shagin?? is what im reading from your pics.. .. its a clad token made in nigeria and d its worthless.. if it is made out of silver (rarely) i say melt no more..

    The bottom of the piece is marked A. Shagin which is short for Alex Shagin who is a well-known coin designer who has spoken at some of the SoCal coin clubs.

    I'm not familiar with this particular medal/token, or its composition, but it seems to be made in connection with the 100th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty (1886-1986).
